Planting Tips

After spending a long winter and early spring indoors, we know gardeners are anxious to step outside and get our hands in the dirt.

But, early spring veggies don’t offer an opportunity to exercise your green thumb, so be patient.

It’s normally safe to plant broccoli, radish, lettuce, and kale right now, but unexpected cold temperatures can devastate your garden or flowers.

Many annuals, tropicals, and perennials are not able to survive in the frost.

For those that are ready to get out and plant be cautious of freezing temperature and make sure you bring your plants in or cover them with a sheet!
